MK Jabareen Attends Conference on “Nation-State Law” at EU Parl.

The EuroPal Forum held a conference yesterday, Tuesday, January 22, on Israel’s “Nation-State Law” at the European Parliament in Brussels. The EuroPal Forum is an independent organization that advocates Palestinian rights.

Parliamentarians, jurists and activists attended the EuroPal Forum conference which was hosted by Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Keith Taylor. MK Youssef Jabareen (Joint List) a leading Member of the Knesset from Hadash, attended the session and highlighted the racist violations against Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel and the attempts of the far-right government to legitimize such policies.

David Kronin, a journalist and author who specializes in monitoring Israel’s human rights violations, discussed the “Nation-State Law” and it effects on Arab-Palestinian national minority in Israel which makes up 20 per cent of the population. Martina Anderson, an Irish MEP, and MEP Julie Ward from Great Britain also took part in the seminar. They discussed the European Union’s role in ending the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories as well as racism against Arab-Palestinians citizens of Israel.
