Hadash MKs called on Wednesday, December 9, to block racist US Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s visit to Israel. In addition, dozens of Israeli lawmakers, among them all Hadash MKs, wrote an urgent letter to PM Benjamin Netanyahu asking him to cancel the meeting. According to the Jerusalem Post far-right Republican US Presidential candidate and real estate mogul Donald Trump is seriously considering a visit to the Al-Aqsa Mosque (Temple Mount) when he comes to Israel for the first time at the end of the month.

The planned visit follows Trump’s call for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on” in light of “great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population.” As part of his visit to Israel, on December 28, Trump will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The meeting was planned two weeks ago. Netanyahu’s spokesman confirmed that the prime minister is “willing to meet with any US presidential candidate who visits Israel.”
