The Communist Party of Israel (CPI) mourns the brutal murder of 32 young members of the Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF) in the district of Suruç (Pirsûs) on July 20, and sends its condolences to their families and comrades in the ESP (Socialist Party of the Oppressed) and the HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party). The CPI also wishes a full and speedy recovery to all those injured in the suicide bomber attack.

The CPI strongly condemns the vicious attack by ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) on the comrades of the Federation whose admirable aim in visiting Suruç was to build a library and a playground, to plant trees and to help rebuild the torn town of Kobanî.
CPI expresses its full solidarity and support for the Federation, the ESP, and the HDP and wishes you success and victory in your (and our!) struggle against the enemies of humanity – ISIS, ISISL, and their reactionary supporters in Turkey, Israel, and elsewhere.
