Thousands sign petition calling to reopen October 2000 riots probe

 

Leaders of the Arab-Palestinians citizens in Israel and Adalah – the legal center for Arab minority rights in Israel – announced today (Monday, June, 2) in a press conference held in Nazareth, they were close to having 250,000 signatures on a petition calling for an external committee of inquiry to look into the October 2000 riots, in which 13 people were killed by Israeli police.
