A meeting with Israeli and Palestinian members of Combatants for Peace followed by a screening of the movie “Disturbing the Peace,” will be held on Monday, November 7th at 19: 30 at Ben-Gurion University in Beersheba. Immediately after the screening there will be discussion with Jamil Casas and Abner Wishnitzer, two heroes of the film. Admission is free.

About the film: During the last three years director Steven Afcon accompanied the activists from Combatants for Peace and heard their stories. The resulting film, Disturbing the Peace, documents the transformation undergone by members of the organization, from combat soldiers to peace activists seeking to end the violence between the sides. The film shows how through their journey, and on the backdrop of an impending war in Gaza (2014), they continue to function when encountering opposition from part of the societies to which they belong.
