Tonight, Sunday August 28, the premiere of African Exodus, the first full-length documentary in English exploring the story of Sudanese and Eritrean asylum seekers in Israel will be held in Tel-Aviv. The film features interviews with asylum seekers, activists, government officials, and live footage from events in Israel. The premiere will be held at No. 9 Mazeh Street, at 7:30 PM. Entrance is free.
After the film (English, 71 minutes) a panel discussion in English will take place with Brad Rothschild (director of African Exodus), Shana Krakowsky (director, Microfy), Ghebrehiwot Meles (asylum seeker, featured in African Exodus) and Elliot Glassenberg (from the NGO Right Now: Advocates for Asylum Seekers in Israel). The event is being co-organized by Microfy and Right Now: Advocates for Asylum Seekers in Israel.
