Hadash presented the Left Jewish-Arab list to January’s election

At 10 pm Thursday, registration for parties wishing to contend in the 19th Knesset election was officially closed. The Central Election Committee will continue working to authorize the submitted lists, however the option of adding new parties or candidates is now gone.

Hadash (The Democratic Front for Peace and Equality – Communist Party of Israel) leading members presented on Thursday the Left Jewish-Arab list to the Knesset, in January’s election. Hadash convention delegates reelected, on last November, MK Mohammad Barake at first place on the electoral list.

The 850 convention delegates voted in favor of MK Dr. Hana Sweid for the second place on the front list and MK Dr. Dov Khenin for the third slot. MK Dr. Afu Agbaria took the fourth, Nabila Espanioli, a well-know feminist activist and psychoanlyst, took the fifth place and Attorney Ayman Odeh, Hadash secretary, the sixth. Hadash currently holds four seats in the Knesset. Barake and Sweid announced following their election to the top two seats in the list that they would quit the Knesset in two years time and pass their seats to other member of our list.
