Israel Bars Entry of 3 Senior Arab Journalists to Occupied West Bank

Israeli occupation authorities prevented three top Arab media officials from entering the West Bank on Friday, November 16, stopping them from participating in the conference “Journalism under Fire” which took place in Ramallah last weekend.

According to the Cuban news agency Prensa Latina, Israeli border control officers at the Allenby Bridge border crossing between the West Bank and the Kingdom of Jordan, stopped the three and told them they were barred from entering the West Bank.

The individuals refused entry were the head of the Tunisian Journalists’ Syndicate, Naji Al-Baghouri; the Advisor to the Union of the Arab Journalists, Hashemi Nuweiri (from Tunisia); and the Representative of the General Union of Arab Journalists, Abdullah Al-Bakali (from Morocco).
