Sanctions by public sector doctors continued today

Sanctions by public sector doctors continued today (Monday) in the hospitals from Hadera northward. The Israel Medical Association (IMA) said the Treasury had refused to discuss upgrading manpower in the hospitals and failed to advance on salary negotiations.

The strike was held today on all medical centers on a reduced “Shabbat schedule” with only urgent and lifesaving operations.  The affected general hospitals are Rambam, Hillel Yaffe, Bnei Zion, Carmel, Emek, Ziv and Nahariya. The mental health centers affected are Mizra, Tirat Hacarmel, Shaare Menashe, Flieman and the Shoham Geriatric Center.
