Israeli far-rights ministers slam on Monday, June 15, the deal between US and Iran to end war, say Israel “not bound by terms of the agreement.” Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the Israeli military will remain in occupied southern Lebanon, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I are leading a clear policy that determines that the army will remain in the security zones in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza, without any time limit.” He said the occupied territories will be “cleared of local residents, and all terror infrastructure, above and below ground, including the houses will be destroyed.”

Hadash welcomed the agreement, with MK Ayman Odeh stating: “It seems there is in Israel a chronic allergy to agreements here, alongside a dangerous addiction to wars. However, it is worth remembering that even if Netanyahu and the right wing do everything in their power to sabotage the agreement between the U.S. and Iran, and even if some opposition leaders rush to recycle the usual warmongering slogans, one truth remains constant: agreements save lives. The more agreements there are, the fewer unnecessary wars, bloodshed, and casualties we will see. Yet, the most crucial agreement of all is the one between Israelis and Palestinians. Only a just peace between both nations, leading to comprehensive regional agreements, can ensure true peace, security, prosperity, and a better future for Israelis, Palestinians, and all peoples of the Middle East.”
According to MK Ofer Cassif, “This agreement was written in the blood of thousands of futile casualties in an unnecessary war, and it represents a resounding fiasco for Netanyahu and his extreme-right government. It is conclusive proof that a military solution does not exist and never has; only a political one does. The endless rounds of warfare were never intended to achieve security, but rather to preserve the seat of the tyrant and the bloodthirsty messianic band surrounding him, with the pathetic backing of the Zionist ‘opposition’ parties.”
“The wars have brought nothing but destruction and ruin, slaughtering tens of thousands and devastating the lives of millions—in Israel, Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine. All criminal attempts to sabotage agreements through more force and violence have crashed against reality on the ground. The spineless Zionist ‘opposition’ must internalize this: more force, more blood, and more destruction will achieve nothing. The only path forward is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel, and a just, true peace. The road there begins with overthrowing this bloody government. We will not back down until justice prevails,” he emphasized.
