Settlers sabotaged the water supply to Khan al-Ahmar on Friday morning (June 12), as hundreds of Israelis and Palestinians marched through the Occupied Territories in scorching heat to protest the community’s pending eviction. The settlers damaged pipelines providing water to Bedouin communities in the area. According to Al-Bader, an organization advocating for Bedouin rights, groups of settlers cut and vandalized water lines serving the Al-Arara, Al-Mahtoush, and Al-Tibneh communities in Khan al-Ahmar.
The organization stated that the destruction of this water infrastructure exacerbates the severe hardships faced by residents and directly impacts their basic daily needs, particularly as these Palestinian-Bedouin communities rely on these pipelines as their primary water

Hundreds of demonstrators, among them MK Ofer Cassif (Hadash) and former Hadash MK Dov Khenin, participated in the “Freedom March” om Friday morning in solidarity with the residents of Khan al-Ahmar, a Palestinian community facing imminent expulsion.
The Peace Partnership, which organized the initiative, stated: “Israelis and Palestinians stood together and spoke with one clear voice: no to the expulsion of residents from their land. The people of Khan al-Ahmar know they are not alone.” Simultaneously, settlers attacked Palestinian homes and vehicles in the village of Yasuf, located in the Salfit Governorate. According to the local council, the attackers smashed windows of both houses and cars, causing significant property damage, before fleeing toward a nearby settlement.
According to OCHA (United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory) since January, more than 1,000 settler attacks caused casualties or property damage across more than 230 communities in the occupied West Bank, with over 2,200 Palestinians displaced in this context.
