The Joint List would become the third largest faction in the Knesset if elections were held today, according to the results of a poll broadcast last night (Monday, May 25) on Channel 13 News. According to the poll, the Joint List would win 16 seats, while Likud drops to 23 seats and “Beyachad” falls to 21 seats. In this scenario, Netanyahu’s extremist right-wing bloc drops to 53 seats, while the Zionist opposition bloc falls to 51 seats. To form an alternative government, the opposition parties would need the Joint List to secure a majority of 67 Knesset members.

It is worth noting that earlier, Hadash list chairman Dr. Yousef Jabareen stated that the Joint List “is the key to toppling the government.” Participating in the weekly Hadash-Ta’al faction meeting at the Knesset, Jabareen added: “Only the Joint List will bring down the government on the Knesset’s very first day. I promise that Ben-Gvir and Smotrich will not be in the government—we will bring about a strong Jewish-Arab partnership.”
The poll also examined the political landscape without the formation of the Joint List, revealing that Likud, led by Netanyahu, would be the largest party in the Knesset with 25 seats. This follows a three-seat drop for Naftali Bennett’s “Beyachad” party, which received 23 seats compared to 26 in the previous poll. Gadi Eisenkot’s “Yashar” party is the third largest with 14 seats, an increase of two seats compared to the previous poll.
Itamar Ben-Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit and Aryeh Deri’s Shas each receive 10 seats in the poll, followed by Yair Golan’s The Democrats with 9 seats. Avigdor Lieberman’s Yisrael Beytenu receives 8 seats, an increase of one seat from the previous poll, while United Torah Judaism remains stable at 7 seats. Hadash-Ta’al rises by one seat to reach 6 seats, while Mansour Abbas’s Ra’am drops by one seat to 4 seats. Bezalel Smotrich’s Religious Zionism stabilizes right at the electoral threshold with 4 seats. Failing to pass the electoral threshold: Balad (2.2%), The Reservists led by Yoaz Hendel (1.6%), and Blue and White led by Benny Gantz (1.2%).
Looking at the blocks: The Netanyahu bloc stands at 56 seats, while the Zionist opposition bloc stands at 54 seats. In between are Hadash-Ta’al and Ra’am with 10 seats, both of which are also counted among the opponents of the right-wing government.
When asked “What kind of government would you like to see established after the next elections?”: 27% prefer a government in its current composition, 24% want a government of opposition parties excluding Hadash and the Arab parties, 23% want a government of opposition parties including Hadash and the Arab parties, and 20% would like a unity government that includes parties from both blocs.
The poll also asked, “Who do you think won the war?”, and only 27% answered that they believe Israel and the US won, compared to 40% who think Iran won and 33% who answered that they do not know. Furthermore, only 27% of the public believes that Israel’s security situation has improved following the war with Iran, compared to 34% who think the security situation has worsened and 39% who answered that the situation remains unchanged.
