Dozens of Israeli activists alongside with US citizens living in Israel protested on Monday, April 6, against the imperialist US-Israeli led war on Iran and continued genocide in Gaza simultaneously in front of both a US Embassy office in Jerusalem and the US Consulate in Tel Aviv.
In Jerusalem, demonstrators marched to the front door of the Embassy office at Agron Street and laid signs against the war at the entrance. In Tel Aviv, police failed to prevent fascists from entering and harassing the protesters from the consulate at Hayarkon Street and shortly after used it as an excuse to disperse the demo. The protests were held in tandem with protests against President Donald Trump and against the war held on Monday around US cities.

According to one of the organizers, “As US imperialism intensifies across the region, Israeli expansionism deepens through a clear political agenda: consolidating control over land and resources, fragmenting communities, and displacing populations under Western supremacist logics. The devastation and starvation in Gaza, alongside the drawing of a ‘new border.”
In addition, “the escalating violence, daily pogroms, and dispossession in the occupied West Bank.” the mass displacement in Southern Lebanon all unfold under the guise of a ‘defensive war,’ as civilians, journalists, and medics continue to be killed. Even as missiles from Iran are fired toward this land, their impact within Palestine is not equal: while some have access to protection, many Palestinians – across Gaza, the West Bank, unrecognized Arab Bedouin villages in Israel – have little or none.” “The same regime that has oppressed Palestinians for decades now cynically claims to ‘liberate the Iranian people’ – despite the US imperialist historical role in Iran,” he added.
On last Saturday, around two thousand protesters gathered in Tel Aviv’s Habima Square, and several hundreds gathered in dozens of locations across the country, among them Jerusalem, Haifa, Beer Sheva, Kfar Saba, Tamra and Kfar Yassif to protest US-Israel’s ongoing war in Iran.
