Fascists tried to disrupt a housewarming party in Pardes Hanna, where Hadash-Ta’al chairman, MK Ayman Odeh, was participating, after a viral message on social media invited the public to “blow up the event” on Tuesday evening, November 11. Organizers issued a statement where they claimed that the disruption “illustrates the violent culture that has become a symbol of fascist actions in recent times.”

“We will continue to stand strong, Jews and Arabs together, against the fascism that is raging in the country under the auspices of the government,” said MK Odeh in a statement. He added, “Even if they try to suppress us, silence us, and attack us – we will multiply, we will strengthen, and we will break through. We do not surrender to the fascists; we defeat the fascists. And the only way to do this is through a courageous Jewish-Arab partnership, to defeat the fascists and those who feed them. Thank you to all the brave people who came to hear me. We will continue to stand strong.”
On Tuesday morning, far-right MK and deputy minister Almog Cohen stormed into a lecture being given at Ben-Gurion University to protest the lecturer who has criticized the genocide in Gaza and the occupation of the Palestinian territories. Cohen was joined by two activists from the fascist Im Tirzu organization who filmed the incident and posted it online. The lecturer targeted was Dr. Sebastian Ben-Daniel, who publishes criticism of Israel under the name John Brown.
The university condemned Cohen’s actions, saying he interrupted a class for army reservists who were prevented from making up work they had missed. Today, Ben-Gurion University filed a police complaint against Cohen, who burst into the computer science class. “Our campuses must remain safe for study, teaching, research and exchange of ideas, places where students can learn and be educated, lecturers can teach and researchers can research without fear of physical or verbal violence,” the university stated. Earlier this year, Ben-Gurion University reinstated Ben-Daniel after a brief suspension during a probe of comments, including referring to occupation soldiers as “baby murderers.”
