“No business as usual with Israel”, demonstrations by Israeli citizens across Europe will be held tomorrow, Tuesday 27, in 12 major cities to demand: “Suspend the EU-Israel Association Agreement! Stop Arming Israel!”
According to the initiative, “As Israeli citizens living in Europe, we are watching with broken hearts and endless rage as the Israeli army is exacting unprecedented destruction on the Gaza Strip and its people, as the Israeli society is deteriorating into fascism and widespread dehumanization, and as our government is committing a genocide aimed at the destruction of Palestinian collectivity.”

“We urge European governments, institutions, and civil society to act according to the values they claim to uphold human rights, international law, and the protection of civilian life. The EU and its member states must suspend the association agreement with Israel following Article 2 of that agreement, which enshrines human rights and democratic values. European countries must stop all arms exports to Israel – these weapons are used for crimes against humanity.”
“Words of concern are no longer enough. When international law is violated so openly, when entire communities are displaced and starved, when the killing of civilians is justified under the banner of self-defense, we must respond with principled action. Business as usual with Israel makes Europe complicit in crime.”

According to Baskin, “This unprecedented event will bring together dozens of Israeli and Palestinian non-governmental organizations, united around a common and urgent call for: an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages, the massive and unhindered entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and the launch of an ambitious, sustainable, and forward-looking reconstruction process.” “About 800 Israelis and Palestinians have applied to participate in this historical meeting,” he agreed.
