Guided Tour in English to Hebron with Breaking the Silence Activists

The Israeli NGO “Breaking the Silence” offers guided tours to Hebron and the South Hebron Hills in the Palestinian occupied West Bank, allowing an unmediated encounter with the reality of military occupation. The tour guides, all former combatants who served in these areas, share from their experiences to help illustrate the Israeli government’s policies enacted by the IDF.

Hebron is the second largest city in the West Bank and the only Palestinian city with an Israeli settlement in the heart of it. The next tour of Hebron in English leaving from Tel Aviv will be held on Monday, October 10. The tour explores the harsh results of the principle of separation and the military presence in the city and includes: The grave site of Baruch Goldstein in the Kiryat Arba settlement, Tomb of the Patriarchs square, the former wholesale market, the Shuhada Street, four Israeli settlements in Hebron and a visit with Palestinian non-violent activists in the neighborhood of Tel-Rumeida.

The tour leaves from the Tel Aviv Arlozorov (Savidor) Train Station at 8:00, near the turnoff to the Ayalon freeway heading south. The return drop-off will be at 16:00 at the same location.
