Joint List MK Dov Khenin (Hadash) stands by his claim that Israel is perpetrating ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in the occupied territories. In an interview with Sky News last week, Khenin claimed that the demolition by Israel of illegally built homes and other structures in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem were a very sophisticated form of ethnic cleansing the purpose of which is to allow Israelis to eventually settle those areas.

Speaking to Israel’s Army Radio on Tuesday, Khenin reiterated these allegations, specifically citing Israel’s mistreatment of Arab-Palestinian Bedouin in the occupied Jordan Valley. “As a Jew and an Israeli,” he said, “I cannot stand idly by in light of the difficult scenes impacting the lives of families and children in the occupied Jordan Valley.”
