Today at Noon in T-A: A Show with a Glimmer of Hope — “Blacklisted”

Artists and organizations for human rights and for peace will be presenting at 12:00 today, Friday, February 5, a special performance entitled Blacklisted: a Show with a Glimmer of Hope. The event will take place at Hangar 11 in the Port of Tel Aviv. Entry is free. Among the participants are leading Israeli artists like actress Rivka Michaeli, author Nir Baram, singer Mira Awad, journalist and activist Gal Ochovsky, choreographer and dancer Renanna Raz, and many others.

The event will take place in cooperation with over 40 leading organizations in Israel, “in light of the government’s recent attempt to curb freedom of expression in the arts and civil society, we are coming together for a performance of music and art to demonstrate our determination to uphold democracy in Israel.”

Among the organizations who are taking part in the event are: The Association for Civil Rights in Israel, Peace Now, Gisha, Breaking the Silence, the Israeli National LGBT Task Force, Adva Center, Amnesty International, Physicians for Human Rights, Worker’s Hotline, Emek Shaveh, Yesh Gvul, Mossawa, Assaf, Sikkuy, Yesh Din, the Hotline for Refugees and Migrants, Hamoked: Center for the Defense of the Individual, Machsom Watch, Standing Together, Bimkom, Achoti – for Women in Israel, Ir Amim, the Coalition Against Racism, B’Tselem, Combatants for Peace and The Public Committee against Torture.
