The Coordinating and Implementation Committee of the Histadrut Labor Federation declared a number of labor disputes at government offices and companies serving the public. Acording the law, Subsequently of these declarations, strikes can be started after two weeks.

Among those involved in the disputes were the Egged bus company, the Tnuva agricultural and industrial complex, lifeguards at Ashdod municipal beaches, the Israel Broadcasting Authority and the Firefighting Service. In April the Histadrut declared a work dispute on behalf of employees of the Hadassah Medical Organization. The work dispute will affect all the public hospitals and employees of two of the four health funds, Clalit Health Services and Kupat Holim Meuhedet.
