Friday: 13th Marx Forum in TA to Observe a Century of Communism

The 13th Annual Marx Forum will take place this coming Friday, January 31, in Tel Aviv under the auspices of the Hagada Hasmalit (Left Bank) Alternative Cultural Center and the Tel Aviv branch of the Communist Party of Israel (CPI).

This year’s Marx Forum will be devoted to the topic “100 years of Communism in Palestine and Israel” to commemorate a century since the founding of the first Communist organization in the country. The forum’s lectures and discussions will explore questions related to the history of the Communist movement since the colonial occupation of Palestine by British Imperialism in 1917.

The forum will take place at the Left Bank, 70 Ahad Ha’am Street, Tel Aviv, first floor, starting at 10:00 and will continue until 16:00. Admission is free. Among the speakers in the conference will be Amjad Shbeita, Efraim Davidi, Nurit Hagag, Adel Amer, Rawda Morqus-Makhoul and Adam Eli.
