Hadash Lawmaker Blames Monsey Attack on Incitement by Trump

Leading Communist Party of Israel member MK Ofer Cassif, (Hadash – Joint List) reacted to the anti-Semitic stabbing in Monsey, NY by blaming it on US President Donald Trump.

On Saturday night, December 28, a man entered a Hassidic synagogue located in the Forshay neighborhood in Monsey in upstate New York where those present were celebrating the eighth and final night of Hanukkah. The assailant pulled out a machete and began to stab people wounding five, two of them critically.

Upon learning of the attack MK Cassif tweeted: “Hatred of human beings is infectious: Where Trump incites against Muslims and immigrants, anti-Semitic movements will thrive and Jews will be attacked,” he said. “My condolences to the community and my wishes for a recovery to the wounded and hoping that the world manages to overcome the tsunami of racist hatred.”
