The Forum for the Enforcement of Labor Rights addressed Sahar Shefa Holdings and Sons Ltd. Company, who are the owners of the coffee franchise Aroma Tel- Aviv, with a request to instruct the cancellation of the procedure which prohibits workers in Aroma Tel- Aviv to speak a language other than Hebrew.

As noted by attorney Gadeer Nicola, this regulation, which forbids employees from speaking between themselves and/or with customers in their mother tongue, is an illegal regulation that affects the workers’ basic rights to dignity, equality and freedom of expression.
